23 October 2016, Nirapad News: National Safe Road Day has been observed succesfully through various programs yesterday 22 October by Nirapad Sarak Chai (NISCHA)’s branches all over the country and abroad with the theme ‘No blame game, Know the cause of road crashes and everyone must abide by the rules.
NISCHA founder and chairman Ilias Kanchan has expressed his heartfelt gratitute to all NISCHA leaders, members, organizations and everyone who has participated to observe this day.
In a statement Ilias Kanchan said Nirapad Sarak Chai is grateful to the government and law enforcement agencies for issuing permission and support to observe the day in a peaceful manner. He also thanked the media for giving the day its importance and helped spread it all over the country and abroad. He hopes continuous support from all sectors can help establish safe roads in Bangladesh very soon.
He also expressed the organization’s gratitude towards the sponsors of this year’s program-WALTON who has always shown continuous support towards the movement and IFAD multi products ltd.
“Our third generation is now involved in the movement for road safety which is a new ray of hope. I urge everyone to involve every member of their family for this noble cause. Even my three and a half year old granddaughter Arshiya who live in the United Kingdom held a placard with the slogan ‘Let the roads be of peace, not a death trap’ and participated in our movement. I beleive everyone one day will demand for safe road like Arshiya which will be the path to establish our cause. Thank you. Use the roads safely.” He said
